5 Things and What do you think about a 4th Surrender the Sun?

Big things happening here. Spending time with friends new and old as the weather chills a little more each day. It never gets really cold here, certainly not like Surrender the Sun cold. Not even like Idaho cold...but still sweater cold. A lot of travel in the next few weeks to meet up with several authors and friends. But more than anything, I'm remembering how my readers and my friends got me through one of the most difficult trials of my life. This Sunday will be the one-year anniversary of my Dad's death. Many of you know how difficult this transition has been for me. Grief tears you down in ways you never expect. And though he's gone, I still feel him with me every day. 🙂 And I can tell you, he would be thrilled that I just finished The Long Goodbye and sent it off to the editor this afternoon! He was my biggest fan. And I miss him dearly, but I'm living again and I'm okay. ❤️

Rewrite Complete! - I have to give a huge shout-out to my BETA Reader. There are times you can't see the trees through the forest. And that's why it's great to have a second set of eyes even in the unedited stages. (More to come in the book Acknowledgments.) I also have to point out that I sobbed quite a bit during this emotional story. So much that the lawyer's office next to mine came over to see if I was okay. LOL. That's a testament to these characters that I've been with since the beginning.

Starting this soon! I'm receiving a lot of great feedback on this series and it's not even begun. That's great news because I'm very excited to get started as well!

This will be a break from the hardcore post-apocalyptic genre. It's a series of stories that I think are very valid in our current situation. And I'm eager for a lighter take on this genre. Some will call it a Clean Post-apocalyptic, but I'm generally not fond of that term. It implies arrogance or superiority in some ways to me. And that's just not how I feel. Cozy Apocalypse is a better term in my opinion.

Surrender the Sun

Just like Graham's Resolution, the Surrender the Sun series nags at me occasionally. I do believe there's a fourth book in this series waiting to be told. Where Ben and Jax see the crocus bloom...

I'd prefer to embark on new projects but I'm not ruling this out either.
